Srikant Bolla was born on March 12, 1992, in a small village called Gopavaram in the Warangal district of Andhra Pradesh, India. He was born into a humble family. Being specially abled, he faced challenges from the very beginning. From a young age, he learned to be resilient and relentlessly pursue his goals. As of 2024, he is 33 years of age.

He is the son of Bolla Damodar Rao and Bolla Veera Venkateshwaramma. He has a brother. His father is a farmer, and his mother is a homemaker. His father and his mother played a strong role in making him the strong-willed person he is. They laid the foundations of his success. Despite what everyone said to Srikanth’s parents at his birth, his parents gave him all the facilities they possibly could with their small income.
Early Childhood – The Beginning
Srikanth’s challenges began from the very first day of school. At 6 years of age, his brother along with some of his friends used to guide Srikanth to school. For the first two years of school, none of his classmates talked to him and he used to sit on the last bench in his class. After two years of struggle, he was admitted to a boarding school in Hyderabad.

Srikanth’s time spent in boarding school helped him come out of his shell. Srikanth became socially more active. He studies at Devnar School for the Blind in Hyderabad till 2007 and later at Royal Junior College in Hyderabad.
He participated in sports like cricket and swimming. In both sports, he was fortunate enough to have coaches who understood his needs. They used a special ball that used to make a lot of sound while moving. He used this sound as a guide while playing sports. While swimming, it guided him in the direction he was supposed to move. In cricket, it used to tell him where the ball was so that he could hit it accordingly. Besides this, he also played chess in school. He was in boarding school till high school. In high school, he wanted to study maths and science.
In high school, he wanted to study Maths and Science. However, his school was, however, was not in favor of letting him study maths and science. His school was under the impression that it was illegal to allow a visually impaired student to study maths and science.
Srikanth was not very happy with this, and neither was his teacher. With the support of his teacher, he filed a case in the High Court of Andra Pradesh. While the case continued in court, Srikanth moved to another school that was following a different board of education and would allow him to study maths and science in High School.
Higher Education
In Highschool he got all his textbooks converted to audiobooks and studied from them. His hard work and determination helped him become a topper in his high school board exams. He achieved an overall score of 98%.
At the end of school,l he learned Braille, English, and how to use a computer as well. After this, he joined a coaching center to help him prepare for the Indian Institute Of Technology (IIT). Unfortunately, he was denied the opportunity to study at IIT due to his disability. He did not let this setback stop him. He worked harder and gained admission to the Massachusetts Institute Of Technology (MIT). Srikanth studied Bachelor of Business Management between 2009 and 2014.
Srikanth Bolla Career
After completing his education, Srikanth founded his own company called Bollant Industries. This is a Hyderabad-based company that manufactures eco-friendly packaging solutions. The way this company does this is by collecting waste material from municipal corporations and turning it into a usable product.
He is also the founder of the Samanvai Center for Children With Multiple Disabilities. Through this center, he has supported the education of over 3,000 students. Besides helping them with education, he has also helped skills that would help them become independent. He provided vocational training as well.

- In 2016 he received four awards. One from LESA and another from ECLIF Malaysia. He received the third award from CII. In the same year, he came second in the 93rd edition of the India Science Congress.
- In 2018 he received two awards. The first one was the Telangana Society of Fine Arts, New Jersey, USA. The second one was from the Pride Of Telangana Awards.
- In 2019 he won three awards. These were given by One Young World, Government Of India, and TV9.
